Removable Dentures

Removable restorations are also sometimes called “overdentures”. These restorations attach to 4-6 dental implants in the mouth, but are designed to be removable. In most cases, a “dental cast bar” is manufactured. This bar connects all of the implants together, and allows “overdentures” to be snapped ito place. This means that the dentures can be removed easily by the patient to be clean. In addition, the gum can also be cleaned and maintained which is important for patients who have had periodontal disease.

Removable restorations are less expensive than fixed restorations, and are easier to maintain repair, and modify to create an ideal lip and mouth shape.
